A Bit About Me

Jordan is a second-year Master's student in the Clinical Psychology program (Fieldwork Track) at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). She earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Biology from CSUN in 2024. As an undergraduate, she participated in the Undergraduate Research Initiative for Student Enhancement (U-RISE), a National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded program supporting underrepresented students in the sciences who plan to pursue graduate education. Through U-RISE, she worked in the Emotion, Culture, and Social Adaptation Lab, investigating how individuals with depressive symptoms process emotionally charged information using event-related potentials (ERPs). She also completed a summer research internship in 2023 at Stony Brook University in the Laboratory for Clinical Affective Neuroscience, where she utilized electroencephalography (EEG) to study negative valence systems.

In addition to her academic and leadership roles, Jordan has been working as a Neurofeedback Technician since 2024 at a clinic outside of campus, where she provides neurofeedback training to clients with a range of psychological conditions. She is also completing her clinical training at CSUN as a member of both Dr. Gary Katz’s Child and Adolescent Diagnostic Assessment Clinic and Dr. Jill Razani’s Anxiety and Mood Disorders Clinic. In Dr. Katz’s clinic, she serves as a clinical co-director, where she leads a team of students, administers and scores achievement assessments, and contributes to writing psychological reports. In Dr. Razani’s clinic, she provides individual psychotherapy to her own client using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions. Jordan also serves as Vice President of CSUN’s Psi Chi Chapter, where she has held leadership roles for the past two years.

Her career aspirations include obtaining a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in clinical neuropsychology. Her research interests focus on employing neuroscience techniques such as EEG, fMRI, and MRI to identify biomarkers that may predict neurodegenerative disorders. She is also interested in exploring neurofeedback as a potential intervention for symptom reduction in mental health disorders.
