A Bit About Me

Douha Louimina is a first year PsyD student at Pepperdine University in the School of Education and Psychology. She is an international student from Morocco, North Africa. She earned her B.A. and M.A. in Psychology from CSUN after transferring from Santa Monica College (SMC), where she began her undergraduate studies.

During her graduate studies at CSUN, she was a part of the Teacher Intern Program (TIPs) at CSUN where she taught Psychology 150 as the instructor of record. She was also involved in clinical training where she was a part of two clinics. She was in the Anxiety and Mood Disorders Clinic run by Dr. Jill Razani, where she had her own client to whom she administered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Additionally, she was in the Child and Adolescent Diagnostic Assessment Clinic led by Dr. Gary Katz, where she served as one of the clinic’s co-directors. In this role, she helped manage and lead a team of student clinicians while also administering IQ test batteries and writing client reports.

Beyond her clinical work, she has been conducting research in Dr. Jill Razani’s lab since 2023. She has a goal of becoming a licensed psychologist. She aspires to establish her own clinic, helping individuals navigate life stressors, while also teaching psychology at the university level and training future therapists and healthcare professionals in providing compassionate, effective care. Her current research focuses on mild cognitive impairment and its impact on daily functioning compared to healthy aging, with future plans to explore mindfulness as a potential intervention.
