A Bit About Me
Jennifer Hunter is a second-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology Research program.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Weimar University in 2021.
During and after her undergraduate training, she assisted with research for NEWSTART, a
program that uses lifestyle interventions to treat common chronic diseases, and gained clinical
experience in a residential recovery program, a medical clinic, and an acute psychiatric care
facility.
From 2022 to 2024, Jennifer worked as a post-baccalaureate research assistant and coordinator at
the University of Florida’s Brain Health Equity and Dementia Prevention Lab, where she
managed an NIH-funded pilot study and supported community-based brain health research in
underserved populations. At CSUN, she continues to expand her research training under the
mentorship of Dr. Jill Razani and Dr. Alyssa Arentoft and serves as a teaching associate for a
Research Methods lab section. Her research interests focus on the early detection of and
interventions for cognitive decline associated with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders
(ADRD). She plans to continue her academic journey by pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical
Psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology.
