As a graduate student, she has been part of the Teacher Intern Program (TIPs) at CSUN for the past two years. This program helps psychology graduate students gain teaching experience as part of the Department of Psychology’s commitment to training future college instructors. Through TIPs, she has taught Psychology 150 as the instructor of record. She is also actively involved in clinical training. She is part of the Anxiety and Mood Disorders Clinic run by Dr. Jill Razani, where she has her own client to whom she administers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Additionally, she is in the Child and Adolescent Diagnostic Assessment Clinic led by Dr. Gary Katz, where she serves as one of the clinic’s co-directors. In this role, she helps manage and lead a team of student clinicians while also administering IQ test batteries and writing client reports.
Beyond her clinical work, she has been conducting research in Dr. Jill Razani’s lab since 2023. This year, she applied to both Ph.D. and Psy.D. programs in Clinical Psychology with the goal of becoming a licensed psychologist. She aspires to establish her own clinic, helping individuals navigate life stressors, while also teaching psychology at the university level and training future therapists and healthcare professionals in providing compassionate, effective care. Her current research focuses on mild cognitive impairment and its impact on daily functioning compared to healthy aging, with future plans to explore mindfulness as a potential intervention.
